APPLE PIE FILLING FOR CANNING

4 1/2 c. sugar OR
2 c. honey
1 c. cornstarch
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
10 c. water
2 tbsp. lemon juice

Mix with 10 cups water and cook until thick on medium heat. Add 3 tablespoons lemon juice. Fill jars with prepared apples and pour mixture over. Hot water bath for 20 minutes.
